Location: Boone/Watauga County area + Remote (Virtual) option when the children are not in school. Salary $44,000 - $66,400
Children’s Hope Alliance is growing, and we need to add an Outpatient Clinician to our Team in the Boone/Watauga areas.
$2,000 SIGN ON BONUS ~ after 90-day Evaluation
Summary
The ideal person will provide services to adolescents, and children who are seeking outpatient mental health and/or substance abuse services in a virtual and school setting. This is a very exciting opportunity, with competitive pay and opportunities for professional development.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
Provide individual, family, and group therapy to clients using clinical models and modalities approved by the agency and the service definition for children and adults who are being referred to mental health and substance abuse services.
Services may be provided in a variety of settings as part of being a community-based clinician. However, this position primary serves Watauga Schools and clients across the state through virtual service delivery.
Conduct Comprehensive Clinical Assessments, trauma-screenings, suicide risk assessments, threat assessments and basic crisis plans.
Incorporate internal and external collateral information (i.e., CCAs, Psychological Testing, Medical Evaluations, etc.) into case conceptualization and treatment planning.
Participate in program and activity planning related to therapeutic activities and treatment.
Participate in treatment planning and implementation including conducting/participating in clinical service teams, linking and referring clients/families to services, and other programming as described in the service definition or by Supervisor.
Provide support and training to clients and staff related to behavioral strategies and interventions through the use of evidenced-based models.
Participate in 24/7 on-call crisis response.
Administrative Duties
Complete documentation required including progress notes, treatment plans, service authorization requests, and clinical intakes at co-location offices when applicable within the timeframe specified.
Submit clinical assessments, clinical addendums, internal transfer documentation, clinical conference notes, and client discharge paperwork within designated time frames set by Supervisor.
Manage and maintain productivity of billable units, approximately 22 per week.
Required participation in clinical staffings, monthly administrative meetings.
The position requires a master's degree in a Human Service or related field plus 1 year of experience with a similar population.
Valid full or provisional licensure in one of the following disciplines: LCSW, LMFT or LCMHC
Requires knowledge and the ability to practically implement mental health regulations and clinical services.
Requires effective communication, decision making, analytical, interpersonal, leadership and professionalism skills and abilities + basic computer and math skills and be able to pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal, HCPR and driving checks.
EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires a master's degree in a Human Service or related field plus 1 year of experience with a similar population.
Valid full or provisional licensure in one of the following disciplines: LCSW, LMFT or LCMHC
Requires knowledge and the ability to practically implement mental health regulations and clinical services.
Requires effective communication, decision making, analytical, interpersonal, leadership and professionalism skills and abilities.
Must have basic computer and math skills and be able to pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal, HCPR and driving checks.
