TEACHING FAMILY MODEL DEVELOPMENT

The Teaching-Family Model is largely a mentoring model. It can be implemented in just about any environment and effective on any population.

Before program development begins, an agency will coordinate an assessment from an already Certified Sponsor Agency. Following an analysis of your agency’s culture and programming, the Certified Sponsor Agency will outline what may be necessary to implement the Teaching-Family Model. This allows each agency to develop at a pace that is comfortable and adaptation that is reasonable. Services are tailored completely to individual needs. The standards invite flexibility and creativity.
